Snowman - 2000
Dad made this snowman figure knowing I'd put it in the yard to draw the snow toward us. I think it's just a sheet of plywood that he shaped & painted and it's very cheerful! Now 15 years later, the area behind him is heavily bordered with rhododendrons & hydrangeas and he sits further into the yard. Come on snow!

Grandma's Counted Cross Stitch - 1990s
Grandma cross-stitched this richly detailed portrait of an Edwardian lady because she said it reminded her of her mother. The photo doesn't do it justice! It's framed now and looks like a painting.
