Sabin on Sunday - 1963
I don't remember the "Sabin on Sunday" polio immunization initiative but apparently it was a very successful nationwide effort at immunizing the general public on a day when most people were not at work or school. I was able to find references to it but not an entire article. This one was informative ~~~~~> Click here!

A Dad Note - early 1990s
Another "Dad note" left on their kitchen table for us when we went to their house to get their mail & feed the dogs while they were out of town:
"Shelby, There are some tomatoes on the table. Also go to the middle of the garden and pick all the Roma tomatoes you want. We have enough already frozen. They are good for cooking & freezing. Give the dogs 4 or 5 scoops of food in the can on the bench in garage and a Meaty Bone that's in the utility room."

Me - mid 1960s
Here I am getting off the plane after spending my summer in Providence, RI with Grandpa & Mildred. That isn't my suitcase I'm carrying ... it was something far more precious to me ... it was my Barbie case! In my other hand, I'm carrying a large straw hat that Grandpa bought for me on a lark. Summers with them were a treat!
Me & Grandma - Mid 1960s
This photo was taken in her driveway and across the street you can see the remains of an old farm that was quickly being dismantled and turned into a modern housing suburb. It was more interesting when it was an old farm!
