Grandma Letter ~~ Postmarked November 7, 1995

Dear Shelby,

Thanks for the nice letter and pictures.  The house is really coming along.  I enjoy the pictures.  I show them to Ruth & we "ooh & ahh" over them.

I mailed Michelle a birthday card last week & put money in it.  I addressed it to Joan's but I put your zip code on it.  Habit, I guess.  I asked the mailman and he said she would get it eventually.  I hope so.  Your dad has a birthday this month also.

I have another 18" or so to do on the afghan.  It's like working on a rug in my lap.  It is cumbersome!  I haven't done any work on the picture this week.  I want to finish the afghan.

Ruth just called.  She is home.  She went to Zanesville, Ohio on a trip.

It is rainy today.  I went yesterday and got a haircut.  She really cuts it short when I say it is getting too long.

I ate one of the halves of my stuffed peppers for supper the other night & it was very tasty!

I must start getting cookie material together.  All the stuff is out on display now.  I don't think I really know what kind to make.  The cookie sandwiches I know I will do as I like them very much.  It takes lots of jam, cake flour & nuts.  I use a thimble to cut the hole in the top cookie.

I am trying to read a Victoria Holt book between any other things that I'm doing.

Well hon, better close & get this downstairs to the mail box.  So write when you can & take care.
