Merry Christmas!
This card is from Grandma's good friend Ruth. There was a note inside:
"Hi, Your nice Grandma tells me how you like the nice cards we buy at one of our card shops. So I hope you like this one."
I did and do! It's hard to tell from the photo but it's a three dimensional pop-up card when you open it.

Dad & me on Christmas morning - 1960s
I'm unsure what that is leaning on the chair in the background. It looks a little like a metal detector? Carpet sweeper? Weed eater?

In kind remembrance of your graduation - June 1931
This holy card was given to Grandma upon her graduation from St. Mildred's Academy in 1931. I found quite a number of these old & lovely little cards among her possessions. She was even using some of them as bookmarks!

Mom's notes from club meeting - 1947
These are the notes that my mother took as temporary secretary for a club in high school. It reads:
"Sec 10-4 , Room 319
The first meeting 10-4 was held this morning, Sept. 7 under the supervision of our home room teacher. Discussed were matters concerning classes and instructions were given for cleaning the room, lunch room, temporary officers and exits with fire drills, entering and leaving the building.
In the afternoon the motion was made and passed that we pay dues of (5) five cents each on Wednesday of every week.
Instructions were given for auditorium seats and honors for tenth grade.
Joan Harrison
Temporary Sec."

Anna - 1931
Anna was one of Grandma's friends from school and she sent Grandma this photo enclosed in a letter in 1931, a few years after graduation. She wrote on the back:
"My Darling Gini,
Don't laugh when you look at it. I have my apron on over my dress.
Lots of love,
Anna"
