Roscoe was a brown husky mix that we adopted in the 1980s from the Richmond SPCA. He was about a year old at the time and his previous owners had taken him to the shelter because he chased the neighbor's ducks. He was a very nice dog and we had him for about 10 years before he passed away suddenly of a heart attack while playing in the backyard. He would have loved living here with us but died while the house was being built and never made it out here. I think my favorite memory of him was his getting out of the fence one winters day when we were at work and a neighbor boy took him home with him. When we went to pick him up, he was curled up on the couch by the woodstove watching tv with his new friend and seemed reluctant to come home!! Well, who could blame him!
