Dear Shelby,
Your note paper is very pretty. Unusual to find your name on anything. I love the tea set card. It is so colorful.
The aftermath of the storm has been horrible. We still have piles of snow, even after all that rain & all they plowed up and dumped. My car doors were frozen yesterday morning. I didn't think I would ever get them open.
I know how anxious you are to get it done. The house, I mean! I have your album all up to date. It is something you can keep.
I called your Mom Saturday morning & no one answered & I called again - same result. Of course, I thought something happened to someone, then I realized your Mom was working. I called that evening & she said your Dad was at your house. Painting, I assume.
Friday we had such a heavy fog, I almost cancelled my appointment with Dr. Shore. He put me on baby aspirin. I must have an echocardiogram for my heart on Friday & on my next visit have a physical.
Fred took Ruth & six others out to dinner Saturday. He sure gets around with all his problems, the least of them his being 100! Mrs. Wallace will be 90 this next birthday.
I got a perm last Monday - I sure did need it.
These pictures show how bad the area is all around us.
Well hon, be careful, you & Jack & take care. Write soon & love to you both.
Love always,
Grandma
P.S. I took Jana's books back to her yesterday. She is living at Donna's till 2/7. Eric is trying to get a house in Bon Air near Richmond. Her baby was born on the 17th. He is a little doll. Jonathan Thomas is his name.
