Dear Shelby,

Thanks for the nice letter.

Did you wish the snow & ice on us?  It is really coming down.  Snow, sleet, freezing rain & anything else they can find to throw at us.  The wind is wicked.  I went to the store yesterday (took Ruth) for milk, etc. because they predicted this. & you wouldn't believe the people.  I guess they all had the same idea.  Not a carton of milk in the store.  We went to the Acme & found some.

I am sending you a recipe for apple cobbler.  I suppose you can use any kind of fruit.  It sounds good.

Donna gave me a beautiful dark green jogging suit.  Did I tell you Amy brought me a container of chicken pot pie?  It sure was good.  She works after school up at the Phoebe Terrace as a waitress.  It is like a condo.  You can buy your apartment.  Nicole is doing fine.  I stopped by after church on Sunday to return the container & Amy was tutoring Nicole with her homework.  

Your mom never received the jelly I ordered for her so I called & they are replacing it.

I want to see "Grumpy Old Men".  I bet it is a riot.

My new area code is 610 instead of 215.

I have a cheese cake recipe I will send you went I get it copied.  No use sending it to your Mom because your Dad won't eat it - not with cream cheese in it!

Well hon, I better close now, not much more news, so write when you can & thanks for all the lovely cards, gifts, etc.  I enjoyed them all.
