Dear Shelby,
Glad to hear from you. I like the stamp!
It has been rainy & damp here. Today is nice. I went down to the library & renewed my card & then out to Parkland to renew that one. I got 'Savannah" by Eugenia Price. It is the first in a trilogy.
At the Parkland library they have a little room with books in it for sale. I bought Danielle Steele's "Remembrance" & Catherine Cookson's "Black Velvet Gown". Her books are always good! For a quarter! Hardbacks at that.
Ruth is over her cold. She sure was sick.
Your Mom said your Dad was going to help string barbed wire. Hope they don't get cut.
I just washed all my summer tops & blouses to put away.
Wednesday I am going up in the mountains for lunch. The Phoebe Home has a bus & they can take 24 so I sighed up. Ruth says it is a nice trip. Only $2.50 & you buy what you want to eat. They are well known around here for their desserts!
I must go & see about my hearing. It is not so hot & getting worse. I don't have any trouble talking to people. I can't make out all they say on tv & at church. Certain tones are hard for me.
Well hon, not much news at this end either.
I talked to Amy, Donna's girl that goes to St. Joseph's in Philly, and she will be a senior next year. It is hard to believe.
Write soon & take care,
Love always,
Grandma
Love to Jack!
