Grandma Letter ~~ Postmarked April 23, 1996

 

She wrote:

Dear Shelby,

Received your nice letter!  Thanks!  I am glad your house is finished.  It won't be long till you can move!  What a job.

I hope your camera gets into operation again.  I want to see the finished product.

I went to Dr. Shore last week & I was concerned about my legs.  I just can't walk like I used to.  They get so tired.  He said that he had treated hundreds of women & "Believe me, you are way ahead of the game."  I evidently am in fairly good shape.  I went to Wal Mart yesterday, & a couple other stores & I was so tired when I got home & just got on the couch & slept for 2 hours.

They had "Sleepless in Seattle" last night upstairs but I had seen it in the movies.  Yes, they made a sequel to "Grumpy Old Men" called "Grumpier Old Men".  I really enjoyed them both!

I am glad you can get those channels.  I am on cable but my tv doesn't get all the channels.  Ruth's gets more than I do.  My set is older & is not set up to receive all of them.   I would love to get AMC & Discovery channel but can't.  I enjoy Family Channel. They have some good movies.  I like National Geographic.  They are always good.  Anything about animals I enjoy.

It has turned warm here.  I have both windows open.
