Dear Shelby,
What a pretty card! Thanks! I'm always glad to hear from you.
I had a nice trip. The scenery was lovely! I had a nice lunch & visited the gift shop.
I will read "The Black Velvet Gown" before your mom comes up in a couple of weeks & send the book back by her for you. It was one of my finds at the library. I always look in the small room for their extra books which are usually priced at 10 cents & 25 cents. I also got Danielle Steel's book "Remembrance".
The weather here is very "crisp". It is a beautiful day for a long walk.
Nicole is doing fine just now. She is in a bowling league.
Donna's Tara called me from Bon Air on Friday & said she had been over to the mall at Southside at a baby contest or something and won $25. She wanted to know how I was doing. She is coming up for Thanksgiving because they want to be home for Christmas!
I think your mom is enjoying her retirement.
Ruth & I went out to the "Olive Garden" on Wednesday for lunch.
This pen has such a coarse point and makes the ink come out so fast.
Well hon, not much news here so if you can read this, answer when you have time! Take care & love to Jack.
Love always,
Grandma
