She wrote:

Dear Shelby,

How have you been?  I have been to the doctor Feb. 22.  The doctor said my ears were o.k.  

I have read Huckleberry Finn before.  I have got the book.  You were right I did miss a lot of school.  1 whole week.  I have been fine.

I had a very nice Valentine's Day.  School has been fine.  We're in mixed numerals in fractions.  It's easy.  

The seal on the envelope is pretty.

Tell Kathering "Hi" for me.  Write soon.
