Grandma Letter ~~ Postmarked December 2, 1992

 

She wrote:  

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving at your Mom's.  I was at Donna's.  She loaded me up when I came home.  They picked me up & brought me back.

I am sending you a recipe - - it has broccoli & cauliflower in it, but you can substitute mixed veggies, etc.  I halved it in an 8 x 8 Pyrex dish.  I used a 5 biscuit can.  

Peddler's Village is a very nice place -- small shops and is near New Hope, NJ.  They have a Cock & Bull restaurant there too.

I just read "Mixed Blessings" & now have "Jewels".  They belong to Donna.

I went over yesterday for my license renewal.  The film ran out so I had to do it over again.  The card was for 4 years but you could get it for 2 years for $12.  I opted for that.  Who knows where I'll be in 4 years.

Is there anything I can get you & Jack for Christmas?  I'm going over to Vanity Fair next week.  If so, let your mom know because I will call her Saturday morning.

Is there any kind of cookie you especially want?  Your mom says she will be up before Christmas but I'm going to see if she will wait until after Christmas.  It is so much of a rush just now.
