She wrote:  

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving at your Mom's.  I was at Donna's.  She loaded me up when I came home.  They picked me up & brought me back.

I am sending you a recipe - - it has broccoli & cauliflower in it, but you can substitute mixed veggies, etc.  I halved it in an 8 x 8 Pyrex dish.  I used a 5 biscuit can.  

Peddler's Village is a very nice place -- small shops and is near New Hope, NJ.  They have a Cock & Bull restaurant there too.

I just read "Mixed Blessings" & now have "Jewels".  They belong to Donna.

I went over yesterday for my license renewal.  The film ran out so I had to do it over again.  The card was for 4 years but you could get it for 2 years for $12.  I opted for that.  Who knows where I'll be in 4 years.

Is there anything I can get you & Jack for Christmas?  I'm going over to Vanity Fair next week.  If so, let your mom know because I will call her Saturday morning.

Is there any kind of cookie you especially want?  Your mom says she will be up before Christmas but I'm going to see if she will wait until after Christmas.  It is so much of a rush just now.

In the spring, we planted over 60 heirloom lily bulbs of several varieties.  As they came up, the deer ate every one of them except this little beauty.  At least we got one!.

The Information about Geraldine:

"Geraldine is a Walker Hound about 9 years old and 50 lbs.  Judging by the scars on her face, her life has not been easy.  Being a senior dog and a hound, her adoption chances at the local animal control were slim, so there was no way we could leave her behind.  She is the sweetest girl.  Geraldine surprised everyone this week when she decided to join in on the Agility course.  Word is out:  the agility dogs get lots of treats!"

There was another one called Rhoda and another called Lady Gaga but I can''t find their photos!

She wrote:  

Dear Shelby,

Thanks for the nice letter.  Such pretty note paper!

I've had a very hectic week.  Flu shot, cholesterol count (255), tire had a nail in it, almost flat, changed anti-freeze, went to the market & got back & the elevator didn't work!!  Mrs. Wallace helped me carry the stuff upstairs.  Went to Kutztown yesteraday & the car started smelling hot & the "check engine" light came on and there was Ruth & me out on the highway, no house in sight & helpless.  A nice young fellow came along & said he was a mechanic & he would look to see what the trouble was.  Well, the anti-freeze overflow container (plastic) had a leak and it was spraying all over the motor.  He said we would get home okay.  This morning I went back to my mechanic and told him.  He is the garage fellow I always go to & he fixed it.  I hope!  So all in all I have been running around in circles.  

I don't know what I will do for Thanksgiving.  I assume if Donna makes a dinner I will be invited.

Harold had laser surgery on his eyes yesterday.  He has glaucoma.

I bet the puppies are darling.

I am sending you some coupons.
