Dear Shelby,
I have just been out for my flu shot. The Pa lottery pays for all over 65 that want it.
I was out to see Dr. Jones for my eye exam. I go to the hospital Nov. 12. You wouldn't believe what I can do & can't do. Four pages of instructions. Beckie will bring me home. Harold can't see to drive at night & it will be evening before I get discharged. It will be about 4 weeks before my sight comes back. I don't know long it will be before I can drive. They take the cloudy mess out of your eye & put in a little piece of plastic like a tiny contact. Wires are attached to it & that secures it in the eye. If things don't go just right, then they use a laser beam. Harold had to have it.
I guess there goes my hope of coming down for Xmas. I won't be able to wash my hair, bend over, lift anything heavy, pull on anything. I could go on & on but you get the idea. I can watch tv, but very little reading.
Well hon, write soon & let me hear from you. Take care.
Love always,
Grandma
Love to Jack.
