Dad and I used to pass this tree on our way to his boat moored in Gloucester. The marker beside it indicated that it was over 200 years old at that time This photo is taken at the base & looking upward.
According to Google, the tree stands on Jamestown Road, a section of the Colonial Parkway that connects Jamestown to Williamsburg. The bricks were found at nearby Historic Jamestown and made of local clay.
The tree is still alive today!
