Grandma Letter ~~ Postmarked March 14, 1996
She wrote:
Dear Shelby,
Received your nice letter & pictures. I just love that screened-in porch. You will certainly enjoy that!
I like the fans & fixtures too. The mirror will go very well in the bathroom. It is lovely.
I'm sure you are glad the plumbing is in.
There are two more Sundays to go on "Rich Man, Poor Man". It is in 5 segments. "A Woman of Substance" comes on at 1:00 and at 3:00 it's "Rich Man, Poor Man".
You will enjoy the blueberry bushes. Ruth freezes them & has them on her cereal in the winter. She gave me some a while back & I enjoyed them.
Do you have any idea where you will put the "Rose of Sharon" bushes? They bloom all summer.
I went to Dr. McConnell yesterday for my hearing check-up. It has gone down another notch. I used to have such good hearing. Old age will do it every time. He examined my throat & nose, etc. My throat & mouth are ok. I don't go back for another year!
