She wrote:Dear Shelby,Received your nice letter. Everything seems okay here. Did you have a nice birthday?I am taking Harold to the dentist this morning. They gave their car to Becky. The insurance was due & Harold can't drive any more. Ruth's birthday is the 19th of the month.Yes, I saw "Fried Green Tomatos". I liked it. I hope you got to see "Thorn Birds". The stadium is only a block away. The buses are everywhere.Well hon, I must get going, it is nearly time to pick up Ruth & Harold.I took Mrs. Wallace to see Adam last Saturday. Her niece is at the shore for a month.Take care & let me hear from you.Love always,GrandmaLove to Jack!Friday, August 7, 2020
